Biography:

Veronica Hayes Gromada is the Senior Associate General Counsel II and Section Head of the Litigation Support Group for Walmart Stores, Inc. Veronica leads a diverse team of more than sixty legal professionals with nationwide and some international responsibilities for developing and executing knowledge management and discovery strategies for Legal and Global Investigations across the Walmart enterprise. She provides legal and advice and counsel to drive consistency across class actions, commercial/IP, employment, products and premises liability, and government investigations/FCPA matters. Her team also manages subpoenas, law enforcement requests, and civil investigative demands seeking information about Walmart’s associates, customers, and business practices. Veronica relies on cross-functional collaboration with company stakeholders in Global Governance, Walmart Technology, Human Resources, and business teams to develop best practices around information governance, e-discovery, and cross-border (international) discovery. Her passion for diversity and inclusion is fueled by her conviction to ensure that talented people are positioned to succeed, and the belief that doing so breeds excellence.
